The ZX80 is the first model of the
ZX computers range. Launched in February 1980. It have 4K ROM and 1K RAM and only could
process integer numbers. This was the first computer with a price lower than £100.
Sinclair Research sold a kit (ROm with 8K and a template for the keyboard) to upgrade the
ZX80 to a ZX81 keeping the box. It was selled in form of a kit so the user built the own
computer (it was cheaper too) ou already assembled.
