Sinclair QL
(Quantum Leap)

The QL wasn't ZX Spectrum compatible, it was a new machine. The QL was a 32 bit machine (in the processor); but external it was a 8 bit. The QL uses microdrive (ZX Spectrum incompatible format) for storage, but it can be attached to a hard disk or a floppy disk drive. It doesn't have must sucess. It was launched in January 1984 and sold more than 100.000 units.
